I remember a time (pre children admittedly!) when I would spend two hours getting ready for a night out. Two hours before I was due to go I would have an hour long bath, only getting out after being exfoliated, buffed, smoothed, scented, hair deep heat treated and moisturized. Then the hour long make up and hair session would begin, all that before I even decided what to wear.
Last night I was due to leave for a night out at 6:30pm. At 6:06 I dashed upstairs shedding clothes as I went, by 6:11 I was dressed and had done my make up. 6:13, I had dampened my hair (had been hastily shoved into a ponytail in the morning), dried my hair and by 6:19 was putting on shoes and doing a few bits of tidying up before leaving!! And to think, they dont even train for this position.
These days having two full hours of pampering seems a more attractive prospect than actually going out! Still, with the youngest nearly a year old I don't have too long to wait...............
